“The Barbless Podcast was started by my dear friends Nick Hanna and Chad Alderson. Nick and Chad basically put fly fishing podcasts on the map in Northern California over the last few years and really created the benchmark for educational, entertaining, fly fishing media in our area.
As life has changed, and taken both Nick and Chad in different places, I started to host some episodes on the Nor Cal Channel over the last year..… Well I am proud to announce I will be taking over the Nor Cal channel and while I am sure Nick and Chad will hop on to guest host occasionally I hope that the Barbless Nor Cal podcast proves to be a home for many years to myself and my podcasts.
I aim to carry on the same quality content and guests that Nick and Chad based the barbless podcast on, but at the same time throw in my own flavor to entertain and talk about fly fishing in the grand scheme of life. After spending over half my life in the fly fishing industry as a guide, shop employee, Ambassador, Sponsored Pro, Manufacture Sub Rep, Marketing Director, Non Profit laborer, Trade Association board member, and just all around angler I have meet some amazing people who will make some great guests and have a ton to share. Conversations will range from technical fly design to youth sports, fatherhood and rise form recognition on the Lower Yuba River… techie to general and nerdy to cool … I plan to touch it all and then some. “ - Hogan Brown
